MUSCATINE, Iowa — Marco Rubio won't use the word, but his closing pitch to Iowa voters can be summed up in six syllables: electability.
Rubio is howling from the rooftops that if Republicans want one of their own in the White House this time next year, their only chance is to rally around him and stop the two-headed monster of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
"On Monday night you will be the first Americans to get to begin to answer the question, 'What comes after Barack Obama?'" Rubio told 100 or so voters gathered at a Riverview Center on the banks of the Mississippi River.
