Brock Turner is set to be released early from jail on Friday after serving half of what many critics think was already an appallingly lenient sentence after he was convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman near a dumpster after a college party.
Turner, who has been commonly dubbed the "Stanford rapist," was convicted in March and sentenced to six months behind bars in June. He was convicted of sexual penetration of an intoxicated person, sexual penetration of an unconscious person, and assault with the intent to commit rape of an unconscious person, all felonies.
