The demon armies of Doom will march once more when id Software's first new chapter in more than a decade arrives on May 13.
Coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Doom looks to maintain the same fast-paced first-person shooter action the series has always been known for. It's got some new tricks in the form of snazzier graphics, a deeper toolbox of demon-snuffing tools and Doom SnapMaps, which gives players an opportunity to build their own Doom levels and challenges
In addition to the standard version of Doom, super-fans will have the option on May 13 of picking up a $119.99 collector's edition, which includes a 12-inch statue of the game's rocket-spewing Revenant demon. Pre-ordering either version also gets you the free "Demon Multiplayer Pack," which includes some cosmetic armor and weapon skins as well as six Hack Modules, a consumable that gives you an unspecified edge in individual multiplayer matches.
