Donald Trump tells Iowans he could 'shoot somebody' on Fifth Avenue without losing a vote

Donald Trump thinks his supporters are so devoted that he could "shoot somebody" on Fifth Avenue without losing any voters.

"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose any voters," Trump said during a campaign event in Sioux Center, Iowa.

Trump was drawing a distinction between his supportive based of supporters and rival Ted Cruz's backers, who he described as "soft."
